Ethylene diamide, N-(2-ethoxyphenyl)-N’-(4-ethylphenyl) CHEMSORB 312 also provides protection to PP fibers and tapes, elastomers, adhesives, polycarbonate blends, polyurethanes and some cellulose esters and epoxy resins.CHEMSORB 312 possesses a strong absorption band between 200 and 320 nm in the ultraviolet radiation spectrum as well as high photo-stability over long UV light exposure periods. CHEMSORB 312’s high absorbance combined with its photo-stability and the ability to release absorbed energy in non-sensitizing ways make CHEMSORB 312 a highly effective stabilizer against the harmful effects of ultraviolet light. CHEMSORB 312 is highly recommended in transparent polymers because it does not impart any color or haze due to its solubility in polar polymers and non-color crystalline form. CHEMSORB 312 has excellent resistance to mineral acids, alkali, peroxide and high heat.
